It would be two years to do well and they are independent, which means no paychecks during that time as sales trickled due to lack of multiplayer updates. They explicitly said they'd love to but that it would require them to completely change course, which means abandoning all the fans that bought it for multiplayer and are clamoring for more content. In my opinion this needs a good Single Player Campaign with Good Progression and maybe a Mission system like MW4:Mercenaries.īut Developers keep denying these opinions sadly :( I don't think "deny" is the word you're looking for. Certainly no game is for everyone, but as a fellow mech lover, I know how hard it is to scratch that itch, so I'd be happy to help the game click for you if possible! Just last night I wrote up a series of tips and tricks on the subreddit that might give you some insight into where the depth of the game is at. The game is most certainly for grown ups, given that the community is pretty 100% 30 somethings/dads playing after the family is all in bed. I've invested a ton of time in this little gem, basically all of my limited time that I have for gaming, and I wouldn't do that if it was just a simple VR tech demo. Tuesdays we have our community events and you'll have at least a full server with a lot of good players on. If it helps, a lot of the better players that I'm familiar with seem to be on in the late evenings around 10-1 EST. It becomes a very different game when you're playing on Salvage or Stockpile with two skilled teams using a variety of mechs and voice chat. I usually recommend the Goldrush or Hopper for new players to really find the fun of the game, but unfortunately, most jump immediately into the Dredge. There's also been a lot of new players recently (I think from the rave review it got on PC Gamer last week), so I've seen a lot of newer players doing just that too, even without bots. I think a lot of new players join into an empty server, hop in the biggest, heaviest mech, and just stand there shooting at bots. ![]() Well you're certainly welcome to join in with some of the more veteran players and we can show you where the depth is in mastering the game. ![]()
